Songs of Evangelion, another Anime win awards JASRAC

The Japanese society for rights of authors, composers and publishers (JASRAC) announced on Tuesday has given first place award in the recent JASRAC Awards "Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze" ("thesis of a Cruel Angel"), the theme of the opening of the 1995-1996 television anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The song was sung by Yoko Takahashi, with lyrics by Neko Oikawa and composition by Hidetoshi Sato.

The song won the Gold Award for their ongoing royalties from sales online, pachinko and pachislo (pachinko hall slot) games, karaoke and other places in 2010: 15 years after its debut. The song gained renewed popularity with Hideaki Anno and Khara ongoing remake of four movies of the Gainax TV series.

JASRAC also presented an international award for music that won over the last year foreign money. Japanese musical nine 10 higher in overseas royalty came from anime:
