Natsumi Matsumoto announced on his Twitter account Thursday that she end her shojo Yumeiro Pâtissière cooking manga in the July edition of the magazine Ribon magazine, which will be released on Friday. Matsumoto released the manga in 2008. The series will have a total of 10 volumes.
The story focuses on a 14 year old girl named Ichigo Amano who wants to be a pâtissière (pastry chef female), but it is hampered by its own stupidity. One day, it is part of St. Mary Academy, a culinary school of sweets and complies to a "spirit of sweets".
The manga was adapted into a TV anime in 2009, and a season of spin, Yumeiro Pâtissière SP Professional, issued in 2010. CrunchyRoll issued both series on his website.
Yumeiro Pâtissière won the Shogakukan Manga Award in the category of children in January. Matsumoto created previously the supernatural adventure St. Dragon Girl, and Viz Media manga had published the eighth and final volume of Saint Dragon Girl in North America in September.
