Anime Expo announced the veteran Thursday that director Seiji Mizushima will appear as a guest of honour at the event from July 1-4 in Los Angeles. Mizushima has worked in the industry of anime for over 20 years and has directed titles such as Shaman King, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003-2004), Gundam 00, Hanamaru Kindergarten, generator of Gawl, Dai-guard, Zaion: I Wish You Were Here and Oh! Edo Rocket. He oversaw the ninth episode in the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion original with its famous synchronized dancing sequence of attack.
During the Convention, Mizushima will hold a meeting-and-greet, a signature of autographs and a focus group. Mizushima FanimeCon revealed last month that plans to announce his new project soon.
Mizushima has previously appeared at Anime Expo 2006 and 2009.
