The Dominican American Indomina company announced on Thursday that will produce the film adaptation of the manga and anime series Afro Samurai. They produce Indomina President and CEO Jasbinder Singh Mann, actor Samuel Jackson l. and Gonzo Studios Shin Ishikawa, and Eli Selden's anonymous content is executive producer.
The film be shot next year in the Republic Dominican Indomina Pinewood studies.
Samuel Jackson voiced the character of title in the 2007 television series Afro Samurai, and again on television TV movie Afro Samurai: Resurrection. Anime and manga by Takashi Okazaki origin presented a hair afro samurai wandering in a futuristic but feudal alternate-world Japan.
Jackson commented: "This has been one of my very favorite properties from our amazing debut at Comic-Con the pilot of the original series of Japan." "I can't wait to produce epic feature film with our new partners in the Group of Indomina".
Snigh Indomina Mann described Afro Samurai as "the perfect property" to exploit channels vertical thrrough, aimed at what Snigh calls "an audience of fanboy".
The producers plan to attach a screenwriter and director of this summer and complete the casting at the end of the year. Stacey Smart Stanley is overseeing the development of the film for Indomina and Chris Carlisle for Gonzo.
