Fanime of California for Trigun Host of designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu

The FanimeCon anime Convention announced on Friday that Takahiro Yoshimatsu character designer and animator will appear as a guest of honour at the event from 27 to 30 may in San Jose, California.

Yoshimatsu has worked as a key animator or animation director on numerous titles, including Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Black Cat. Yoshimatsu previously appeared in the event of Seattle with Sakura in 2010 in order to promote the Trigun: film Badlands Rumble, which premiered in the Convention.

New Lupin III project to air this fall (updated)

A television advertisement announced Friday that a new project of Lupin III television has been given the go-ahead to air this fall on the NTV network. K's homepage! Anime Franchise has added the teaser for the upcoming featue film. Trailer included new footage, but seemingly not from actual upcoming film. According to the film is a continuation of the second TV series, but instead will learn history, when the girls were still in high school. The film will open theatrically on December 3.

FUNimation adds based on the Manga big tits Zombie movie in 3D

The American distributor of film and video Funimation announced on Friday that acquired the rights to big tits Zombie, a film adaptation of the manga by Rei Mikamoto Kyonyu Dragon (The Big Tits Dragon) in the event of Texas Frightmare weekend. Zombie - and Reiko manga was adapted into a series of videos of three sides live action in 2004.

Kintoki-with Hosts Ryu bike California, a coffee Teruki

K-ON! 1 Teaser Trailer anime streaming movie

The official site of K-ON! anime franchise began the first trailer for the upcoming movie transmission on Friday. The film will open in more than 130 theatres in Japan on December 3.

Sentai acquires Senko no night Raid

Sentai Filmworks announced its acquisition of domestic distribution rights last year historical spy thriller television series Senko no night Raid. Sentai will release episodes 1-13 plus two bonus episodes and the series titled "night Raid 1931" on DVD & Blu-ray disc in August this year.
Well at least possibly implying, eventually we'll get occult Gakuen Seikimatsu on disk. I would call "night Raid in developed countries but that the adjective means that the show actually had at least a bit narrative and character development.

Man sentenced for insider trading Gonzo station, other companies

The Tokyo District Court had sentenced Takeshi Matsubara, 50 former Aozora Bank employee, inside information on GDH (the former parent company of the Gonzo anime Studio) and other four companies on Tuesday. Matsubara, the Court, led by judge Yukihiko Imasaki, sentenced to 30 months in prison, suspended for four years, fine of 2 million yen (about us $24,300) and an additional 58 million yen (US $ 705,000) fine. The prosecution had requested the same fines, but they called for a prison sentence of three years with no suspension under the financial instruments and exchange law.

Micott & Basara Appleseed Films of bankruptcy (updated) files

The financial research firm Teikoku Databank reported Tuesday that the producer Micott & Basara entered into voluntary bankruptcy in the Tokyo District Court on April 21. Micott & Basara has been behind cartoons Appleseed projects over the past decade, including two animated films by computer and the next round of Appleseed XIII. The company had incurred 1.938 million yen (about $ 23.7 billion) in debt at the end of March.

Micott company was established in December 1997 to plan, develop and manage video and film projects. Formally in June 1999 and changed its name to the current moniker Micott & Basara in March 2003. The video for "Rope Dart" focuses on the character of Priestess.

After three delays, the film is now scheduled for release in 2D and stereoscopic 3D on May 13.

Next Haruhi Novel Gets 1st record printing 513,000

Japanese publisher Kadokawa Shoten confirms on Thursday that Nagaru Tanigawa's next Haruhi Suzumiya light novel, Suzumiya Haruhi no Kyōgaku (The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya), will receive a first printing of 513,000 sets. This print run sets a record for light novels. The novel will ship in two 300-page volumes on May 25,  In addition, the limited first edition of the set will bundle a special booklet containing Tanigawa's short "Rainy Day" story about the protagonist Kyon's time in middle school. (The regular editions of the two volumes will then be sold individually, without the booklet, on June 15.)

Takara Tomy Pokemon Monster Collection Mini Figure - 1.5" Reshiram (M-009) (Japanese Import)

Reshiram is a white-colored, bipedal Pokémon of indefinable but seemingly draconian basis, with some of the avian features of feathers. Idolm@ster, Pokémon, Moshidora, always streaming Promos

The official site for the anime adaptation of The idolm@ster game franchise began the second 6-minute promotional video streamed on Sunday. In the original Xbox 360 game, the player manages the careers of 10 would-be singers Aidoru as producer. The new summer 2011 TV anime sequel game relates The idolm@ster 2, which shipped in Japan in February.

Adachi's touch to launch new Baseball Manga over fence

Mobile Suit Gundam UC OVA

The third volume of the Mobile Suit Gundam UC original video anime (OVA) series sold 87,000 copies since April 7 to top Oricon's overall weekly Blu-ray Disc sales chart (April 4-10). It is the first OVA title to have three consecutive volumes rank #1 overall. The DVD version of the third volume sold 44,705 copies to rank #2. The second Blu-ray volume sold 81,000 in its first week, and the first sold 56,000 in its first week.

Anime Director Osamu Dezaki Passes Away

Anime Director Osamu Dezaki disappeared at 12: 35 on April 17 due to lung cancer. He was 67. A wake will be held on April 20, and a service will be held on 21 April in Tokyo. He is survived by his elder brother Satoshi Dezaki, another Director of anime.

Among the many Dezaki directed were Ace Nerae!, the film of the air, Ashita no Joe, Bionic six, Black Jack, Movie, film not Clannad, Ganba Boken, Genji Monogatari Sennenki, Golgo 13: The Professional, Hajime Ningen Gyatoruz, Mighty Orbots series, Guy nobody-RemiLe Rose of VersaillesThe Snow Queen, space Adventure Cobra, Takarajima (Treasure Island), episodes of Mighty Atom/Astro Boy and different Lupin III TV episodes and specials. Has developed a unique style of direction which included dramatic freeze frames, split-screen and light effects in pivotal scenes.

He was born in Tokyo in 1943, and debuted as a manga artist, when he was still in high school. In 1963, he joined Mushi Productions, the studio founded by anime and manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka. Dezaki did not made his directorial debut with Ashita Joe in 1970, and he and Masao Maruyama co-founder anime studio MADHOUSE in 1972.

New original Sakura by Ufotable no Ondo listed project

Persona 4, 2011 the Prince of Tennis Movie promo streamed

The Mayonaka TV teaser website for the Persona 4 The Animation project began officially streaming a new promotional video this week. In the all-original story, the cast of Takeshi Konomi's original manga and subsequent anime franchise head to Wimbledon in England for a junior tennis tournament. Shunsuke Tada and Production I.G's film will open in Japan on September 3.

NIS America adds Katanagatari, Arakawa under the bridge

NIS America (NISA), the American branch of Nippon Ichi Software game, announced this week that it has bought the rights to the anime TV series Katanagatari and Arakawa under the bridge. Each set comes in a pack of combination of Blu-ray Disc and DVD with English subtitles in the month of July. The packages include the same chipboard boxes and oversized hardcover art books common to other publications NISA.

Katanagatari is an adaptation of anime volume light novel series of the same name NisiOisin. The series revolves around Shichika Yasuri, seventh generation head of the school of martial arts in medieval Japan Kyoto-ryu. He and his older sister Nanami live on an uncharted island, until a military adviser named Togame tells of 12 final swords forged by a gunsmith. Offering Shichika Togame, embarks on a journey to find all 12 of the swords. Although the series aired on television, has not followed a traditional broadcast week; 12 monthly episodes aired between 25 January and 10 December 2010.

In 2009, the television adaptation of the anime Hikaru Nakamura Arakawa under the bridge denpa-kei gag comedy manga was announced at the Tokyo Young Gangan EDF. Anime no Okage Summer 2009, with a second season green lit last June. In the story, a young upper class man named Ko "riku" Ichinomiya meets a beautiful girl of no fixed abode, called Nino from the shores of Arakawa River, where many of the more unusual residents of Tokyo. The subgenus denpa-kei stories revolves around quirky life; the subgenus takes the premise that bizarre behaviors are caused by electromagnetic waves (denpa).

An adaptation of the television and film, live-action manga Arakawa under the bridge was also announced last month.

TOKYOPOP to close North American publication Division (Update 3)

ANN has confirmed with Tokyopop Senior Vice President Mike Kiley that the company will shutter its Los Angeles-based North American publishing operations on 31 May. Movies and the company's European operations will be affected by this closure, and based in Hamburg, Germany, will continue to manage global sales of rights for the company.

A representative of public relations, working for Tokyopop CEO Stu Levy informed ANN that "Tokyopop announce the future of specific titles and other versions in the coming weeks."

In a post on the Web site for Otaku web series greatest reality of America's Tokyopop, Levy revealed they will spend the next year located in Miyagi, Japan, to make a documentary on the effects of the great Hanshin earthquake disaster Japan East (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) on 11 March. Liceo DxD light novels have Souls in the works

Ichiei Ishibumi the author and Publisher Fujimi Shobo announced on Friday that High School DxD Ishibumi light novel series of anime has a project in the works.

The story follows Issei Hyodo, a student of the Lycée dim-witted, lustful sophomore who is killed by a girl on her first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as a subaltern Riasu, a devil that is also the most beautiful girl on campus of Issei.

Miyama-Zero was illustrating the original light novel volumes since have launched in 2008, and the ninth volume will ship next week. Hiroji Mishima has been drawing manga adaptation in Monthly Dragon Age in Fujimi Shobo's magazine since February.

Aria the Scarlet ammo's seventh BD/DVD to add unproduced episode

The seventh Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume of the television anime series Aria the Scarlet ammo ship in Japan on December 21 with the 12th episode of the television episode. The anime adaptation of the light novel series of Chugaku Akamatsu just debuted in Japan on Thursday and the first volume DVD/Blu-ray will ship on 22 June.

High School of the Dead Rei Miyamoto 8" PVC Figure

Canaan TV explosion is the best contemporary girls with guns anime outside the canon of Noir/Madlax/the Hunter/ghost of Koichi Mashimo and Canaan is probably superior at least Madlax and El Cazador, if not Noir and Phantom as well. But if other shows such as grenadiers, Canaan and Gunslinger Girl are too old or too familiar and Angel Beats last year does not provide enough power to fire bishoujo, there may be a new destination to focus on. New series this week of television of gunplay Hidan for bishoujo Aria does not provide many of the beautiful girls and highly stylized gunplay, although its quality of animation and action choreography are not quite as stylish or impressive as black or Canaan. Hidan no Aria tentatively only can fill the gap in girl gunplay anime because it does not display a prominent tsundere of Shakugan Shana and Toradora MoE, and a lot of sexual innuendo said that they give a very different from dramatic tonemelancholy and morally provocative shows as Noir, Canaan and Gunslinger Girl.
