The 21ST issue of Shogakukan's Weekly shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Mitsuru Adachi, the creator of the manga is best known for sports coming-of-age manga such as Touch and Cross game, is launching a new series of baseball called Asaoka Koko Yakyu-Bu Nikki-Over the fence (Asaoka High School Baseball Team Journal-over the fence) in the next issue. The story will center around Children, the female manager of a high school baseball team.
Adachi also drew game Cross from 2005 to 2010 in Weekly Shonen Sunday, and he was the serialization of Idol Ace (Weekly Shonen Sunday) and q and A (Monthly shonen Sunday/Gessan) on a less frequent. Viz Media began releasing Cross game manga in North America last October, and the fourth volume will be available this July. Viz previously published short program compilation of Adachi's short stories. Cross game manga inspired a television anime series aired from 2009 to 2010 and Viz anime streamed.
Another author, Natsumi Iwasaki, wrote Moshi Koko Yakyu no ga Joshi Manager Drucker management or no Yondara (Moshidora), a novel about a female baseball manager, which has sold over 2 million copies since 2009. The novel inspired a television anime series is a live film.
