Dai Sato Hosts five numbers in the films New York Festival of hope

Films for hope, a film festival charity for those affected by the disaster of the great earthquake of Eastern Japan (Higashi Nihon plain), will welcome writer Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eureka 7, Freedom Project) as a guest during the September 11 event. The festival will show the five numbers! anime who wrote Sato. SATO plans to speak on a panel on his personal efforts to help those affected by the earthquake, as well as their potential effects in the animation industry.

The festival is healed by Production I.G students Justin Leach. He spent some three years in Japan worked as a CG creator at Production I.G. He currently works at Blue Sky Studios as a supervisor of gear and is a member of Japan network innovative U.S. Japan society.

Other films include happy Bogeys 1-8 by Takashi Kurihara, Komaneko: cat curious by Tsuneo Goda (creator of Domo-kun), city of rain by Hiroyasu Ishida, girls of kitchen of Kung Fu by Jin-Roh, La Maison at Petits Cubes Kunio Kato and the premiere of La Luna by Pixar Animation.

The festival is a joint initiative of the film program and the network of innovators of U.S-Japan. 50 percent of all proceeds will go to the earthquake relief fund society of Japan. Tickets for each program are US $ 7-10 for Japan Society members, students and retirees. A pass all day is us $ 24-34 for Japan Society members, students & adults.

The event will take place from the 1: 00 to 19: 00 in Japanese society in New York City.

Sentai Filmworks announced this month that license five numbers along with Dawn Coicent for North America.
