Adds Viz Comics film for Ghibli Arrietty film

The American publishing manga series Viz Media announced on Sunday that license the film comics to Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Arrietty of Studio Ghibli the borrower (Karigurashi no Arrietty) film on your panel's FanimeCon. The comics of film will begin in two volumes in North America in January 2012. (The film comics originally had sent in four volumes in Japan last August and September). That is the retail price suggested for the project has not been announced.

VIZ also indicated more arrietty works publications, but made no announcements specific version. The Deadline.com film news Web site reported in January that Disney will release the film in North American theaters next February.

The film of 2010 re-imagines borrowers from the novel by Mary Norton, moving the history in a suburb of Tokyo. The story revolves around Arrietty, a member of the "little people" who live in the floorboards of the House of the regular human family and their struggle to remain hidden from the human "beans".

Kotobukiya Marvel Comics: Phoenix Bishoujo Statue

Presented in the Japanese Bishoujo (Pretty Girl) style based upon the illustrations of Shunya Yamashita and sculpted by Koei Matsumoto, the Marvel Bishoujo 1/8 Scale Phoenix Statue is a PVC sculpture measuring approximately 9ft tall. Situated airily atop a base comprised of translucent red-orange flame, the Phoenix is clad in her contour-hugging green costume complete with gold gloves, thigh-high boots, and billowing waist sash. Prior to becoming the Phoenix, Jean Grey used her telekinetic powers to guide the wrecked X-Men shuttle from the destroyed space station to the Earth. This desperate heroic act proved to be a sacrificial one, in the course of which Jean Greyâ?TMs physical body was destroyed by radiation, although she was able to reconstitute her form, merging with the vastly-powered cosmic entity, the Phoenix.
